Quickstart

Get from sign-up to a working forecast in under an afternoon. This guide walks you through workspace setup, CRM connection, model training, and your first workflow.

Before you start

You'll need admin access to your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive), and a workspace owner who can authorize OAuth. The full quickstart takes 30–45 minutes; you can pause and resume at any point.

We recommend running through this with at least one historical quarter of closed deals in your CRM — Cluvik's forecast model needs real outcomes to calibrate against. If you're brand new to a CRM, complete Workspace setup first, then come back here.

Heads up: All data syncs happen over a secure OAuth connection. We never store CRM credentials — only refresh tokens scoped to your read permissions.

Step 1 — Workspace

Create your workspace from the sign-up page. Pick a workspace slug — this becomes your URL prefix (your-team.cluvik.com). You can rename it later from Settings → General, but downstream integrations may need re-authorization.

  • Set your time zone (used for daily report cut-offs)
  • Pick your default currency for forecast roll-ups
  • Invite admins now or defer to Invite your team

Step 2 — Connect CRM

From the workspace dashboard, click Connect a source and pick your CRM. You'll be redirected to authorize Cluvik. Once approved, the initial sync runs in the background — typical sync time is 4–12 minutes for under 10,000 deals.

Cluvik reads accounts, contacts, deals, deal stages, and historical outcomes. We map your stages to our pipeline schema automatically, but you can override mappings under Settings → Pipeline schema if your team uses unusual stage names.

Step 3 — Train model

With historical data in place, kick off the first model training run. From Forecast → Models, click Train new model. The training job typically completes in 8–15 minutes depending on your deal volume.

The model learns from your closed deals — both wins and losses — to estimate win probability for open opportunities. You'll see a confidence score next to each deal once training finishes.

Step 4 — First workflow

Build your first automation: route stale deals back to reps when they haven't moved for 14 days. Go to Workflows → New workflow, select the Decay detector template, and pick the owner field your CRM uses.

That's it. Workflows run every 15 minutes, so within an hour you'll see actions firing in the Activity log.

What's next

You now have a connected CRM, a trained forecast model, and a working automation. From here, most teams move on to setting up custom signals, configuring quarterly forecast cadence, and inviting the broader sales team.
